There will be eleven classes of students with the Hastings-Prince Edward School Board when full day kindergarten learning starts next September.
Each classroom will have a teacher and early childhood educator with the core school program taking place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and extended child-care hours available before and after school.
School Board Spokesperson Kerry Donnell says the Education Ministry requires space availability, the availability of all day learning and the impact on existing local child care programs will have to be considered.
The board has to submit its list to the Ministry by next Monday, and a response is expected by mid-January.
