Plans for a new sewage treatment plant in Quinte West’s Bayside area are moving into the “environmental assessment stage.” Members of the public will get a look at some of the new technology being considered for the facility which will replace the present plant across from the Bayside school complex. Consultant Bob Clark says picking the right technology is important since the effluent goes into the Bay of Quinte, and the provincial criteria are very strict. The new system will also serve a proposed new subdivision in the area. A public session is set for December 8, at Quinte west city hall.
