The father of a murdered Belleville girl says time doesn’t change his memories of a daughter who died too young.
Bermuda has a new “cold-case police team,” and there’s a call to re-open the case of 17-year-old Rebecca Middleton.
No one has ever been found guilty of the teenager’s 1996 rape and stabbing murder, and a former police commissioner says the new cold case team and new national DNA data base could be used to re-open the investigation.
Rebecca’s father, David Middleton, says it’s a loss he still feels.
The former police commssioner says Bermuda could get around the “double jeopardy issue,” and he accuses the justice system of trying to sweep the murder under the carpet.
