The Workers Help Centre in Belleville has thrown its support behind the formation of an Injured Workers Group in the Quinte Area.
The Help Centre, a United Way of Quinte and Quinte Labour Council project, is confident there is a need for such a group.
United Way spokesman Bob Cottrell says injured workers are often the forgotten part of the Workers’ Compensation system.
The Workers Help Centre, on Victoria Avenue, will hold a three-hour session on November 28th from nine until noon for injured workers and their advocates, and people can register by calling the Quinte Labour Council or the United Way.
