Thousands of people are expected to join veterans at Quinte area cenotaph ceremonies on Remembrance Day.
They will honour Canadian men and women who died in two World Wars, the Korean conflict and the fighting in Afghanistan. President of Belleville’s Royal Canadian Legion Branch-99, Ralph Collins, says it’s part of the Legion’s role to keep this remembrance alive. Collins says he would like schools to go back to having students attend the ceremonies, then young people would realize just how they got the freedoms they have today. CJBQ will broadcast the service from Belleville’s cenotaph, live, beginning at eleven o’clock Wednesday morning.
