The local health unit is upping the number of people eligible for the H1N1 flu shots.
Beginning Thursday two new groups are being added…people 65-and over with chronic medical conditions, and children six-months to under 19 years-of-age. Up to now the children’s limit had been five years old. The new groups join the previous priority people getting the vaccine. Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Richard Schabas, says healthy adults not in the priorities will have to wait a while longer for the H1N1 vaccination.
