Classes have been in for over two months now, but Quinte West O-P-P say some motorists aren’t driving very carefully near schools in the city.
Police have seen an increase in recent weeks in the number of complaints about drivers not stopping for crossing guards helping children in the cross walks.
The fine for ignoring a crossing guard is 185 dollars in a community safety zone, and 110 dollars in a school crossing.
