Elementary school students at all Public and Catholic schools in Northumberland County will soon get their H-1-N-1 flu shots.
An official with the Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge Health Unit says an agreement has been reached with both boards of education to offer the flu shot to children in junior kindergarten to grade eight.
The schedule for the school clinics hasn’t yet been set, but parents will be notified, and the information will be posted on the board of health website.
Health Unit staff vaccinated 522 people at a high-risk clinic in Campbellford on Saturday, the first clinic in that community.
