Search and Rescue officials from C-F-B Trenton have found the wreckage of a small plane in Northwestern Ontario.
An Official at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at the base says the Lockhart Air Service charter was spotted by the crew of a Hercules airplane from Trenton’s 4-2-4 squadron last evening, and search and rescue technicians jumped from a 4-2-4 Griffon Helicopter to the scene.
The plane was found about 20 kilometres west south west of Cat Lake.
The craft, with three people aboad, left Sioux Lookout for Cat Lake on Friday, but was reported overdue late that evening, and there were no survivors. The coroner is now headed to the scene
