Belleville Police are on the hunt for a violent purse snatcher.
Police say a woman was knocked to the ground and had her purse stolen while in the area of Coleman and Moira Streets Friday around 5:30 p.m.
The following night around 2:30 a.m., police responded to a call on Front St. regarding a woman who had been knocked to the ground as well as punched in the face before having her wallet and cell phone stolen.
