Carlos Moniz says he can do something for Belleville that the current narrow-minded council cannot.
Moniz says he plans to run for mayor in the next municipal election. The 46-year old is one half of the brother tandem that had planned to re-open the Doc’s building on Station Street as a strip joint and restaurant…but council quashed the effort by passing a by-law forbidding any more than two strip clubs in city limits.
Carlos Moniz, who lives in Montreal, says he plans to buy a house in Belleville and will challenge Mayor Neil Ellis in next Novembers election.
