The OPP Pen Squad has been called in to investigate a disturbance at Millhaven Institution.
Millhaven officials says the disturbance happened around 7:45 Friday night, when a group of inmates refused to come in from the recreation yard.
Officials say the protest got rowdy and a fight between two men ensued.
Staff reportedly responded by firing warning shots and “deploying chemical agents”.
The incident ended around 1 a.m. with all inmates returning to their cells.
The investigation continues.
