Police say a pile of newspapers was set ablaze behind a Russell Street home yesterday afternoon, and an old couch was lit at an old gas station on Black Diamond Road.
A man in a white Pontiac Parisienne was seen fleeing the scene of the second fire.
The third incident involved a mattress being set on fire in the parking garage behind a Palmer Road apartment building just before nine o’clock last night. Police and firefighters are still investigating.
