Meanwhile, for his part, Mayor of Quinte West John Williams says he has nothing but praise and respect for the efforts of MPP Lou Rinaldi on the healthcare file. Williams says Quinte West Council wants him to meet with the Health Minister, and he is trying to do just that. Mayor Williams also denies any political gamemanship was involved in a meeting with the Conservative opposition leader, Tim Hudak. Quinte West would like to ask the Minister of Health exactly why it is that the Trenton hospital can’t be separated from the Quinte Healthcare Corporation.
