Any objections to the new fees approved by council in early September had to be filed at the municipal office by this past Monday, but none was received.
There would have been an Ontario Municipal Board hearing, and funds collected under the bylaw would have been put in escrow until a ruling, if there had been any appeals.
Prince Edward County’s development charges bylaw was appealed shortly after it was enacted in March, 2008, but an O-M-B hearing still hasn’t been held.
