This may not come as a surprise to many residents… but work on the proposed race-track and slot parlour on Bell Boulevard has been delayed… again.
Plaza Gaming and Baymount Incorporated have extended their financing deal into mid-November… pushing back the construction of the facility even further.
Belleville’s Agricultural Society President Doug Rollins says he’s disappointed in the delay… but says recent restructuring with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation may be the reason things are moving so slow.
He also says previous threats to find a new partner for the facility won’t be followed through… as long as Baymount and Plaza come through in the end.
