Still no decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal on a Crown appeal of an 18-month conditional sentence given a Madoc man for beating up a baby girl.
The court heard arguments in mid-March from Crown prosecutors as to why they felt Darren Wadforth’s sentence was inadequate, but a Court official says the decision is still reserved.
Wadforth was found guilty in June, 2007 of aggravated assault in connection with incidents involving the child, during the first four weeks of the infant’s life, at a Picton home in 2005.
A decision by the Court of Appeal on Wadforth’s appeal of his conviction and sentence is also reserved.
