A man has been fined three-thousand dollars in Picton Provincial Court, and his pitbull ordered euthanized for convictions under the Dog Owners Liability Act..
The accused, Michael Bryan, of no fixed address, was a no-show before Justice of the Peace Ernie Parsons on the charges of not neutering a pitbull, not muzzling a pitbull and not registering a pitbull.
Crown Prosecutor Viya Papanicolaou (vye-ah papa-nikalow) says the convictions also include a prohibition on Bryan owning any dogs for three years.
He was charged by Prince Edward County’s canine control bylaw officer on May 14th after the pitbull was seen at several locations in the county.
