There are still some beds available at the newest Nursing Home in the Quinte Area.
Moira Place in Tweed opened this summer, and with room for 128 residents, will help reduce the number of seniors waiting for a long term care bed.
Joel Cote of the South East Community Care Access Centre says it takes time to fill any new facility, even though there is such a large demand, because staff can handle only a few admissions each day.
He says anyone interested in applying to become a resident of Moira Place should contact the South East C-C-A-C.
