Ashes from a wood stove are being blamed for a fire that destroyed a shed at a home north of Marmora.
Marmora and Lake Township Fire Chief Tony Brownson says the ashes were dumped at the River Garden Road residence yesterday, but ignited the shed at five o’clock this morning.
The fire, which was quickly put out by firefighters, also scorched the vinyl siding on the house.
No one was hurt, and Brownson says damage amounted to about two-thousand dollars.
