Belleville city officials are working to make sure construction of the new 35-million dollar multi-plex facility adjacent to the Quinte Sports Centre doesn’t disrupt events at the Centre. Recreation Director Mark Fluhrer says he’s been working with the Belleville Bulls on this as well. He says the challenge is to have a “seamless delivery” of events during costruction. Parking space at the site will actually be expanded during construction. Fluhrer expects the design-build “request for proposals” for the new facility will go out this month.
