A Campbellford company faces a stiff fine after a worker was hurt on the job back in May of last year. Cambro LaserTek was fined 39 thousand dollars by the MInistry of Labour. A Ministry Press Release says a worker was in a tunnel used to wash parts when he stepped off of a catwalk on to some meshing and broke through. The worker’s legs sank in to a tank of heated cleaning solution, causing second degree heat and chemical burns.
Cambro LaserTek, located on Campbellford’s Tanner Industrial Park Road, pled guilty to failing to provide a secure work surface.
