The Quinte Economic Development Commission has plans for some of the 500-thousand dollars in special funding provided by the province for Eastern Ontario a few weeks ago. Executive Director Chris King says it’s all about marketing the area to attract business here, particularly in the food sector and manufcturing. He says he’s optimistic not only in attracting new companies, but in the expansion of businesses already here. King says the Quinte region is the “lead” in the food sector for Eastern Ontario.
