A word to the wise from the Belleville Police.
Officers charged three men yesterday (SAT) with failure to comply with the terms of their bail conditions after each of the men checked in a day late.
First, an 18-year-old checked in at the front counter just after lunch – a day late – and was given a September court date.
At 1:50 p.m., a 38-year-old signed in a day late – and was charged and given a September court date.
Less than an hour later, police signed in a 24-year-old man, also one day late – and he was also given a September court date.
