Some great marks, and not so good grades, for Hastings-Prince Edward Public Schools from the respected C-D Howe Institute.
The institute’s study designed to compare students’ performances in provincial standardized Grade six testing, based on similar socio-economic backgrounds, found Sir John A. MacDonald school in Belleville to be in the 99th percentile of its grouping.
Other high scores went to Kente Public School in Ameliasburgh, in the 91st percentile, and Madoc Public School, at 90.
The lowest grade was at Marmora Senior Public School, which scored in the first percentile in its grouping, while College Street School in Trenton finished in the second percentile in its grouping..
