The company planning a 237-unit cottage development on East Lake in Prince Edward County is fighting back against a challenge by a group of local residents.
Cottage Advisors of Canada has filed a motion with the Ontario Municipal Board, requesting the appeal by the Friends of East Lake be dismissed.
The Friends, which are opposed to the resort development, sent in the appeal in early July, about a month after county council approved a zoning change for the property.
Meanwhile, Cottage Advisors expects to begin the site plan process as soon as possible.
