A Ministry of Natural Resources boat has sunk and two employees have been rescued in Lake Ontario near Brighton. The Rescue Coordination Centre at C-F-B Trenton sent two Canadian Coast Guard Vessels to the waters just off High Bluff Island at Presqu’ile Provincial Park after getting a distress call at ten o’clock last night.
The boat was floundering in shallow water and sank a short time later. It’s not clear yet why the employees were out at that time of night.
