Concern, but no action yet, on water rates in the City of Quinte West. The cool, wet summer so far, has led to a significant decline in revenue to the city from the sale of water. The City has also experienced expensive repairs to it’s water and wastewater system.
Last night, Council decided to wait for an in depth analysis on the revenue/cost situation from staff before making any decisions on water rates for next year. A report is expected in the Fall.
