Another major holdup at the Lingham Lake dam rehabilitation project on the Moira River watershed…this time vandals were on the scene. First of all Quinte Conservation had to get a coffer dam installed to hold back the water…now vandals have damaged three major pieces of equipment on-site, a high hoe,a loader, and a big compressor. Conservation manager Terry Murphy the equipment has to be hauled out of the water and repaired. He says this will add to the 100-thousand dolalr cost of the project. Anyone having information regarding the vandalism is asked to call the O-P-P or Quinte Conservation.
