Volunteers at the Trenton Food Bank have been given another reminder of how greatly the facility is needed.
The bank closed for a one-week summer break, and manager Al Teal says it has been very busy in the two weeks since it reopened on July sixth, helping over 150 families..
Demand is up by more than 25 per cent this year from last year.
Teal says there has been a recent spike from call centre employees who’ve lost their jobs because of the closures of Teletech Holdings in Trenton and MCCI in Belleville.
