Police continue to be plagued with alcohol-related calls in the Quinte region.
Belleville Police say they were interrupted while attending a scene last night (SAT)… when a man ran into the back of the police cruiser. He was allegedly found to have a blood alcohol level of 80 mgms. He was released with a promise to appear in court.
Quinte West OPP attended what they called “large fights” at bars in Trenton… and held several people in cells overnight to enable them to dry up.
Quinte West police also inspected several bars Friday night…with a special guest… the Alcohol Gaming Commission Inspector….to ensure the establishments are following the rules. Police say several suggestions were made to various bar owners by the inspector.
