Tweed will soon be calling for tenders for its “new” library which may be
built in the villages “old” train station. Community Development Coordinator
Sharon Pedersen says thanks to a funding announcement last month….the
community can proceed with the nearly million dollar project on Metcalfe
Street. The 300-thousand dollar contribution from the municipality includes
150-thousand to be raised by the Tweed Library Board through community
fundraising.
