For the first time in its 90-year history as a member owned club….the Bay of Quinte Golf Course is about to come under private ownership. Shareholders have accepted an offer to purchase the club. Club President Bill Yellop hopes the nearly unanimous vote from shareholders to accept the conditional offer will allow the club to continue operating as a golf course for years to come. The proposed purchaser….a Belleville businessman who asked not to be identified publicly…is waiting for a couple of conditions to be met before the deal to buy the historic club can close.
