A Trenton-area man faces charges of assaulting police and resisiting arrest in one of two crashes involving alcohol last evening in Quinte West. OPP responded to a rollover accident involving a GMC Canyon on Hamilton Road, at 10 o’clock last night, and arrested a 29-year man at the scene. During the arrest the back window of the cruiser was kicked out and officers were assaulted. The unidentified Murray resident is also charged with mischief and impaired driving.
and, earlier in the evening, officers responded after a Chrysler Neon left Bernard Long Road north of Trenton and struck a tree sending both men inside to Kingston General with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
