A Belleville man has been arrested for some driving well above the speed limit.
City Police clocked a car at 120 kilometres an hour on the rain-slickened North Front Street at 2-30 this morning, but the driver failed to pull over after the officicer turned on the cruiser rooflights and siren.
The vehicle pulled onto Harriet Street, and then stopped in a driveway on Wallbridge Crescent, where the driver was arrested.
A 30-year-old unlicensed driver, whose name wasn’t released, was charged with impaired drving, driving with more than the legal amount of alcohol in his blood, dangerous driving and flight from police.
