The Supervisor now overseeing operations at the Quinte Healthcare Corporation has again stressed that Trenton Memorial Hospital will remain not only open, but an important part of the regional healthcare system.
Graham Scott told a Trenton Hospital Advisory Committee yesterday that extra investments will be made to Trenton’s Day Surgery over the next year and a half.
People from all over the region will be using the Trenton hospital for various day surgeries. Scott also says the hospital will become more of a center for family medicine as time goes along. Yesterday’s meeting was held after it was announced Trenton’s Special Care Unit will close tomorrow.
