A full gallery last night at Prince Edward County Council. The crowd was made up of local real estate professionals, and tourism business operators. They are dead set against industrial wind farms anywhere near homes and business in the County.
Realtor Lynn Stein told Council people looking at property almost always wonder why anyone would want to ruin the beauty of the landscape, among other things.
Meanwhile. Council reversed it’s previous decision to accept only written submissions on wind farms, and will have a public meeting on the issue in the near future. Also, Council is looking at the feasability of doing an economic impact study regarding wind turbines.
