It’s a large sky-lit foyer, and it was filled with well wishers last evening. The occasion was the official opening of the YMCA of the City of Quinte West.
Mayor John Williams had a long list of people and organizations to thank for the organization and building of the impressive 50 thousand square foot fitness facility.
Meanwhile, The C.E.O. of the YMCA’s of Belleville and Quinte West, and Peterborough, Bob Gallagher, told the crowd that the gym and pools are proving popular, and quickly.
12.8 million dollars was budgeted for the project, and it, so far, is slightly under budget.
