The 4-0-1 westbound is closed in the Shannonville area and will remain closed for most of the morning commute. OPP say three transports were involved in the crash in the westbound lanes just west of Shannonville at 3:45 this morning. The MTO is diverting traffic at Shannonville. One driver was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. It’s anticipated the 4-0-1 will re-open at about 8am.
Meanwhile, Belleville firecrews were called onto the 4-0-1 at the Highway-37 ramp after a tractor trailer went up in flames. The driver wasn’t injured but the truck was destroyed.
