The Algonquin-Lakeshore Catholic School board, faced with reduced provincial funding, has approved a 130-million dollar budget.
The board passed the balanced document for 2009-10 last night, despite the lower funding for texbooks, learning materials and classroom computers.
Eight-hundred-thousand dollars in reserves were used to address the funding shortfall.
Board Chair, Wilf Garrah, says continued declining enrolment means the board has fewer resources to address fixed costs, but added, students will continue to receive the supports they need.
