Students, staff, and others will be very proud this morning at East Northumberland Secondary School in Brighton. There’ll be a ceremony, turning on a wind turbine, which will provide some of the school’s energy needs. The wind turbine is 50 feet high, and will provide 18 hundred watts of power. ENSS geography teacher Gwen McConkey and students in the school’s Environmental Club spearheaded the effort to bring the project to fruition. Brighton business, Rowley Electric, provided free expertise and labour for the turbine’s installation.
