The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is helping 13 community groups with healthcare projects this year.
Executive Director Wendy Warner says 80-thousand dollars from the foundation’s Kay Stafford Memorial Fund is being distributed, including 20-thousand to Saint John Ambulance for a new ambulance.
She says the fund has donated over 530-thousand dollars to local organizations over the years to help with the purchase of health care equipment..
Warner told the Hospital Foundation’s annual general meeting last night two-million dollars was raised last year, and 1.3-million was used to buy new equipment for the hospital.
