The provincial government has announced some more funding to secure and add jobs in Quinte West.
Today,(yesterday) MPP Lou Rinaldi presented just over 350 thousand dollars to help with a 3 million dollar expansion and upgrade at Deca Cables in Trenton.
When complete, the new equipment will improve productivity and broaden the kinds of cable the company can produce. It’s expected 10 new full time jobs will be created. The provincial funding was from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund. Recently, that same fund financed 3.3 million of an 18 million dollar project at Norampac in Trenton.
