It’s been a tough few days for call centre employees in the Quinte region. On the heels of last week’s temporary closure of the Teleperformance call centre at Century Place in Belleville comes what appears to be the permanent closure of the Teletech call centre in Trenton. About 220 employees learned yesterday the Sindey Street business was closing by the end of August due to a lack of business. The call centre opened less than 3-years ago and at one time employed 300 workers.
