A man from Tweed has been arrested in connection with some wild driving.
Central Hastings O-P-P tired to stop a vehicle in Tweed on Saturday night, but the driver accelerated, making unsafe turns, failing to stop at intersections, and driving on the wrong side of roads and across private property.
Police called off the pursuit after the vehicle headed westbound on Quin-Mo-Lac Road at a high rate of speed.
Twenty-year-old John Vance was arrested yesterday, and was charged with flight from police, dangerous driving and highway traffic act offences.
