A Quinte West Police officer has received a letter of commendation from the Commander of Central Region OPP.
Constable Kevin Postma was instrumental in the arrest of a murder suspect after a crime was committed in the City of kawartha Lakes last September. Constable Postma spotted the suspect and his vehicle, and stopped him, and made the arrest.
Meanwhile, Quinte West resident Joe Wilman received a commendation from the Quinte West Police Board, after he tackled an armed robbery suspect outside of a Trenton bank in late summer. The suspect was arrested the following day.
