Prince Edward county has come up with a compromise in the controversial buildng issue of required distance between new houses and farm barns. About a dozen people addressed the Wednesday night meeting before council decided to go with Option three, allowing a “tiered system” of determining the distance. Director of Planning Gerry Murphy says it provides for some compromises. Murphy says there’s a 20-day waiting period before the new system goes into effect.
