Northumberland OPP are investigating after a fatal accident in Alderville on Friday night.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene along County Road 45, between County Roads 18 and 24, at close to 8:40 pm.
A pickup truck had struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 45 year old man from Roseneath, was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the accident, but has since re-opened.
The investigation continues, and police are asking anyone who has relevant information to contact them.
