Two people have died following a major fire at a mobile home in Quinte West Thursday afternoon.
Fire Chief John Whalen says the call came in shortly after 5:00 p.m.

Whalen says Enbridge Gas, Hydro One, OPP, and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics were also called.
Audio Player“Our crews did their best to get inside and knock that fire down, as we call a fast attack. Then we had to withdraw because the flames were so bad.”

A 64-year-old male was airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto for treatment, two children made it out safely, and the OPP have confirmed the death of the two others.
A one year old and a 66-year-old passed away in the blaze.
The Ontario Fire Marshal will be on-scene Friday morning.
