A well-known Quinte West councillor is looking at taking the jump into provincial politics, just like his father.
A source to Quinte News says Trenton Ward Councillor Dave O’Neil will take the reins for the Ontario Liberal Party in the Bay of Quinte riding.
O’Neil is a multi-term councillor in Quinte West. He is an accountant and is in real estate as well.
O’Neil’s father, the late Hugh O’Neil was an MPP in the area for 20 years.
We have reached out to O’Neil for comment.
The Ontario election takes place on Thursday February 27.
